Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West este un shooter 3rd person, un joc multiplayer bazat intenziv pe jocul in echipa, un multiplayer similar jocurilor Counter-Strike, Day of defeat, etc. cu obiective si multe altele.
Actiunea jocului se desfasoara in Westul salbatic cu grafica bine facuta si arme de epoca. Este puternic incurajat jocul in echipa prin recompense de experienta si power-ups, xp primit la hit&kill, ajutor oferit coechipierilor raniti, la atingerea obiectivelor, si multe alte. Sunt patru caractere cu ce se poate juca, usor de folosit si de inteles, fiecare cu avantajele si dezavantajele lui.
